Billy Jack Hollors

Billy Jack Hollors, 81, of Harlan, KY passed away Monday, October 2, 2023, at the Buchanan Place Nursing Home in New Tazewell, TN. He was born July 14, 1942, in Coalgood, KY. Bill was a retired “Tree Timmer” and a friend to many, having worked all over Harlan and surrounding counties. He was also a veteran of the United States Army having served his country during the Korean War.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Verda Hollors; his brother, James (Sam) Hollors; his sister, Edna Howard.

Left to cherish his memory is his two sisters, Glenda Greene and husband Jamie of Harlan, and Kathy Jenkins and husband Archie of Harlan; his four nephews, Bob Howard, Mike Howard, Larry Howard and Jim Greene; his three nieces, Betsy Burkhart, Amy Crist and Kaitlyn Jenkins; also several great nieces and nephews, relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 11AM in the chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Mills officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be on Friday, starting at 10-AM until the funeral hour. Burial will follow in the Perkins Family Cemetery at Browns Creek, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
