Billy Wayne Hicks

Billy Wayne Hicks, age 74, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at home. Mr. Hicks was born in Harlan, Kentucky on June 3, 1948 to the late Erman Franklin Hicks and Gladys Rose (Harris) Hicks. He married Lenora Farmer on March 25, 1968 in Jonesville, Virginia and she preceded him in death April 12, 2016.  Billy was employed for 48 years with Wolf Bedding Corporation in New Haven before retiring in 2016.  

Survivors include:
Daughter, Janet and Walter Spychalski of Fort Wayne.
Son, Billy Hicks of Middlesboro, Kentucky.
Daughter, Tammy Pilling of Roanoke.
Daughter, Kim and Vance Gray of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Amanda Hicks of Fort Wayne.
14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Brother, Thomas Skelt (Helen) Hicks of Corbin, Kentucky.
Sister, Pauline Lyons of Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
Sister, Virginia “Jenny” Jones of Fort Wayne.
Sister, Lucy (Michael) Emmons of Georgia.
Brother, Clarence (Rita) Hicks of Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lenora; sisters, Frandora Bargo, Elizabeth Surgerner and Mary Ann Scott; and a brother, Eugene Hicks. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home with Pastor Worley Gibson and Gregory Pilling officiating.
Burial will follow at Sweet Cemetery near Albion.
