Beverly Brewer

Beverly Short Brewer, 82 of Harlan, KY went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born May 12, 1941 in Harlan. KY. Beverly was a homemaker and a life time member of the Ages Pentecostal Church. She was very active in her church and always had a welcoming smile.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Denver Short and Goldie Hampton Short; her son, Samuel “Brad” Brewer II; her brothers, Junior Lee Short and Rev. Ernest Wayne Short; her sisters, Lois Pace, Gay Frances Brett and Patsy Jean King.

Left to mourn her passing is her two loving daughters, Tammy Smith and husband Jim of Harlan, KY. Ila Steward and husband Mike of Clinton, TN. Her grandchildren who she adored, Samuel Brewer III, Chelsea Steward and Seth Steward. Her brothers, Curtis Short and wife Bonnie of Hamilton, OH. Pete Short and wife Sheila of Georgetown, KY. Her sisters, Phyllis Owens of Ewing VA. Brenda Hall and husband Lacy of Cincinnati, OH. Mary Collett and husband Terry of West Harrison, IN. Also left to mourn her passing is a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 11-AM at the Ages Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Jesse Kinder and Rev. Jerry Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 23, 2023 from 6-PM to 8-PM in the chapel of the Henson & Rich Funeral Home.
