Anna (Davis) Martin

Anna Davis Martin, 93, of Browning Acres, KY passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the home of her daughter in Wayne, MI. She was born January 26, 1930. Ms. Martin was a retired payroll officer having been employed by the coal industry. Anna was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and believed in the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Gene Edward Martin; her parents, Roscoe Davis and Rosie Farmer Davis; her son-in-law, Jake Mayes Jr; her brothers, Roscoe “Butch” Davis, Jake Davis and Bert Davis also her sisters, Irene Lundy, Wilma Bennett and Polly Carter.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Martin Mayes; her grandson, Michael J. Mayes and wife Lori; her great grandson, Michael J. Mayes Jr; her sister, Sylvia Green; her sister-in-law, Betty Davis also, her close family friends, Bobby and Cynthia Farley and the Bennett family and a host of several relatives and friends also survive.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 2-PM at the Resthaven Cemetery Chapel at Keith, KY with with Rev. Sean Daniels officiating and family and friends serving as pallbearers.
