Adrian Lopez Pedraza Jr., 7, of Harlan County, formerly of Barbourville and McKee, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 17, 2023 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was the son of Adrian Lopez Pedraza Sr. and Santana Nicole Barton Lopez born on December 28, 2015 in Cleveland, TN.
Adrian was full of life and energy. He was a first grader at Harlan Elementary. He loved to read and play video games. He especially enjoyed drawing pictures for his family. He attended the Harvest Worship Center in Harlan. Though his time on earth was short, he made everyone’s life a little brighter.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Martina Ramirez Pedraza; maternal great-grandparents, Robert and Betty Baker and E.J. and Ailene Barton and his beloved dog, Max.
Survivors include his loving parents, Adrian Lopez Pedraza Sr. and Brittany of Harlan and Santana Nicole Lopez and partner, Kristen, of Barbourville; siblings, Damian Zander Lopez, Gavin James Efrain Lopez, Josia Lopez and Zendaya Jeniah-LeAnn Lopez; step-siblings, Gage, Brayden Joe, Xavier, Gabriel, Isaiah, Haylee, Emilee and Kinslee; paternal grandfather, Efrain Lopez Hurtado; paternal great-grandparents, Jesus Ramirez and Eva Pedraza; maternal grandparents, Raymond Wilson and Karen Baker; step-grandmother Brenda Charles special friends and family, Cason, Brenda Smith and Wanda Baker; several aunts and uncles; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Tuesday, October 24 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Roy Vaughn and Rev. Irving Gipson officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Baker Cemetery.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday after 12 Noon until 9 P.M. and on Tuesday prior to the funeral hour.
Serving as casket bearers will be Danny Baker, Eric Hicks, Bradlee Hudson, Jason Fultz, Jason Short and Nate Hall. Serving as an honorary bearer is Jerry Baker.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
