Delno Tolliver

Delno Tolliver of Bledsoe, KY passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born March 9, 1936, in Coxton, KY.

Delno was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Sudie Tolliver of Bledsoe, KY.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Euna Tolliver of Bledsoe; his son, Robert Tolliver and wife Yvette of Gray, KY; his two grandchildren, Russ Tolliver of Lexington, KY and Chainey Tolliver of Richmond, KY and a host of  other relatives and friends also survive.

Delno started his working career in Chicago, Illinois working more than 10 years for the Brach’s Candy Company. Delno spent most of his working years as the owner and operator of the Delno Tolliver Trucking Company of Bledsoe, KY.

Delno was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served for 32 years on the Board of Directors of Cumberland Valley Electric and was a member of the Board of Directors of East Kentucky Power Cooperative, where he served as chairman for many years. Delno retired at the age of 59 and enjoyed fishing and golfing and believed in the Baptist faith.

At Delno’s request there will be no funeral services held, although a graveside service will be held at 2PM on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Green Hills Cemetery on Bailey Cemetery Road in Bledsoe, KY with the Rev. Larry Toner officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Delno also requested that in lieu of flowers that donations are to be made to First Tee of Pine Mountain, 114 Highway 190, Pineville, KY 40977.
