Henry Clay Pruitt 78, of Baxter, was born on Monday, October 19, 1936 in Harlan and died on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. Henry was a retired coal miner & railroad laborer and believed in the Baptist Faith.

His parents; Warren Pruitt Sr. and Beatrice Lawson Pruitt; his wife, Dorothy Collins Pruitt; two brothers, Warren Pruitt Jr. and Troy Pruitt; two sisters; Louise Day & Clara Lumpkins precede him in death.

Survivors include seven children, Jerry Pruitt, Kenny Pruitt, Paul Pruitt, Kathy Yeager, Warren Pruitt, Henrietta Bailey and Dorothy Middleton. His Stepchildren, Joyce Calhoun, Ronald Perkins, Donald Perkins, Billy Collins and Linda Cain.

41 Grandchildren and a host of great and great-great grandchildren.

Two brothers; Charles Pruitt and James Pruitt and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Henson & Rich Funeral Home with the Rev. Albert Phillips officiating.

Burial will follow in the Day-Jackson Cemetery at Cranks, KY.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Henson & Rich Funeral Home.
